My cat is peeing on my bed. I am in a unique situation, where I have had to change my living arrangement to accomidate my brother who is extremely ill. My cat is now confined to my bedroom, due to his peeing throughout my parent's house, and the inabiltiy of my parent's three other cats, to get along with my cat. We have delt with peeing on and off, but it has been treated sucessfully in the past with Elavil. The cat is under veterinary care, and currently on Prozac. This has been sucessful for about five or so months, but for the past two weeks, I have only slept in my bed twice, due to cat pee. I have tried moving the litter box... I have tried different types of litter... I have tried a hood, and no hood... I have tried Elavil, Valium, and Prozac... His litter box is cleaned at least twice a day, and sometimes even in the middle of the night...
He does fine in the bedroom durring the day while I'm working... and I try to go straight up to my room at night when I come home, to spend time with him... I'm sure that he is lonely... However, if I come home and say hi to him, and pet him, ect... then leave again... I am sure to come home to pee. I don't know what else to do. My bigger problem is that I will have to stay out of town with my brother while he undergoes treatment for his illness, for at least three months. My brother can not be around the cat during this period, so bringing him with is not an option. My parents have no problem spending sometime with my cat, but they will not be able to stay with him 24/7... and the will not clean up pee 5x a week. He does not pee on my side of the bed, only on the otherside. I'm not sure that he is particular to the bed alone, but I do not give him the oppertunity to pee on anything else (ie. clothing stays picked up... paperwork, etc.)
I am at my wits end and I need any suggestions that anyone can give me!!! HELP ME!!! I CAN NOT TAKE ANYMORE PEE!!!! I DON'T WANT MY CAT TO BE UPSET!!!
