My human said I should introduce myself, but she woke me up to tell me this???
Anyway, my name is Gypsy and I am a tabby mix rescued by my human. Her garage was on an alley and I kept showing up when she came home from work. I meowed pitifully and followed her to the door. I wouldn't let her ignore me. I put my paws up on the storm door and stared in at her and her dog. Of course, I continued to meow pitifully. I think the rainy day was my ticket in cuz she felt sorry for me. She said she was taking me to her vet cuz he sometimes took in strays and tried to adopt them out if he couldn't find their owners. He said he already had several stray cats, so my human decided to clean me up, get me spayed, have me de-wormed, vaccinated, checked for FIV, etc. She said she was going to find me a permanent home, but I kept working on her. I really looked pitiful, all skinny and kitten cute. Her dog was less than impressed by my arrival, but I won the dog over, too. She fed me regular meals, brushed me, gave me treats, let me knead her and curl up on her lap. By the time someone actually expressed an interest in adopting me, she was hooked and decided to keep me. Silly humans, don't they know we choose THEM? Oh well, I like it here and life is good. I have a dog sister and a dog brother now, and my human even took in a foster greyhound this spring. Guess who is REALLY in charge here?
A true alley cat,
