:Hi! I'm trying to find some information and hoping someone can help. Close to a year ago I adopted a stray cat and discovered she was pregnant. When it was time for her to deliver (middle of the night of course) she had a horrible time, I had to help cut the sacs off the kittens and the cords. My cat died shortly afterwards, and I nursed the 2 kittens and have taken care of them since. As you can imagine they are my pride and joy. My problem is that one of the kittens is a female and it's getting time to have her spayed. My mom can afford the shots and general vet bills but she can't afford to pay for spaying. I've checked in my area and can't find a vet that will spay my cat based on our income (I've heard there were programs like this). I can raise about half the money on my own, does anyone have any suggestions that will be helpful? I don't want to give up my cats!
:Thanks

Allison, That's wonderful of you to take in a pregnant stray, then raise her two kittens after her death! You sound like a very good kitty Mommy.
Click on the enclosed link for 'low cost spay/neuter' programs across the US. Hopefully you'll be able to find the help you need in one of them.
Good luck to you! Do let us know how it turns out.
