My 15+ year old cat has recently begun crying at night. She has done a little crying for years, but it's quite severe now. It started after a week's vacation when a cat sitter (known and trusted) came 3X while we were gone. Now she cries 8-12 times a night, loud enough to wake us. She's got plenty of food and water. We've been back a week now, have given her attention, brushed her, etc., but she's still fussing every night. Any thoughts?
