My family is nearing the end of their ropes. We have an 18 yr old female lost her sister last month. She had been crying somewhat before the sister died, but now it is nearly constantly..all hours of the day and night. We've had a full blood work done and things look ok. She's had hypertension and has been blind for the last few years. Other than that, everything checks out ok.
For the last 3-4 nights we've had to confine her to the laundry room where her food and litter has always been (and remains..it's a large room). She has two beds in there..one with a blanket that she and her sister used to use and one with one of my sweatshirts to try and give her a scent to lie on. She uses neither bed and has been sleeping in her litter box.
Help! Any ideas on how to help her?
