Mike, costs can vary from vet to vet. There are also substantial differences between cities and more rural areas. It's hard to give a specific dollar amount. Call around to several vets and ask what they usually charge.

I agree with the spay procedure, but before you consider declawing, there are a number of alternatives. Personally I consider it the last resort as it involves amputation of the digits and can result in subsequent behavior problems. Most kittens can be trained to use scratching posts and not the furniture. With regular trimming, the claws can be kept in check.
