:Can anybody help me? sometimes i look at rease and think that maybe there is something mentally wrong with her, as she wasnt looked after properly at the most important time of her life. Have you discussed her behavior problems with your vet? Very often fur-pulling is a sign of anxiety in cats. Your vet may want to look into prescribing some sort of anti-anxiety medication - there is one that is used for humans with obsessive/compulsive disorder that is very often used for cats. Your vet will be the person to determine if medication is warranted and will monitor the dosage and any side effects. As for the not wanting to be held, this is quite common in cats. In Rease's case, she may have been frighted by the child as he tried to pick her up. I would not force the issue - let her come to you for petting and don't pick her up for a while until she calms down a bit. Bless you for taking in this kitty. She is going to need a lot of love and care after she was so cruelly treated. Good luck!
Rease certainly has her fair share of problems. Has she had a full vet exam? The running into things concerns me and should be addressed by your vet. It could be that her behavior problems have an underlying medical or neurological cause.
