:It does sound like Calvin will need to have a vet exam. I have had several cats that have wheezed when they are asleep and they didn't have respiratory health problems, but cats can get several things wrong like asthma, allergies and infections so it's best to get that checked out.

Just thought I'd let you know that Calvin goes to the vet tomorrow. Calvin hasn't been in her pet carrier for almost 2 years and I was worried that she would freak out when I pulled it out last night. When I moved from Florida a few years ago I drove my 3 cats and a GSD (7years old) along and that was a 24 hour drive and very interesting. They actually all did very well. I guess I thought that Calvin would remember the experience and run as fast as she could when she saw the carrier. WELL, I set it up with a nice comfy towal and some toys and put it on the bed last night. I placed Calvin their and just let her sniff around. I left the room and came back a little later and voila, she was in their as comfy as can be. The sad thing is though, once she was in their I put just a tiny bit of cat nip near her and she wasn't interested at all. I really think she couldn't smell it. I wondering if her nose is all plugged too? She always responded to cat nip before. I'm so worried and I hope it's not as bad as I think it might be.
