They are trying to mate!!! (busted them last night). Should I be concerned?
These guys liked each other A LOT since very few days after I got Daisy. They chase each other all day, eat together (from the same bowl), and pretty much enjoy each other.
Bob was neutered when he was 3 1/2 months old (almost 11 months old now), so I assumed he didn't know how to be a tommycat, and Daisy still had her tummy shaved when I got her two months ago. She is over a year old, so she probably was in heat before. She doesn't seem to be in heat now (at least she's not doing all the theatrical stuff and yowling associated with it).
I am not sure it's a dominance thing either, cause SHE IS in charge most of the time.
Even if there is no risk for unwanted babies, should I discourage this behavior? Last night I just separated them and didn't do anything else...I'm confused
