You may want to have Daisy checked by the vet in case there is some ovarian tissue left that would cause her to go into a heat cycle. Usually the female is not at all receptive to the male because mating for the female is painful.

Since there is no risk for unwanted kittens, you should probably leave the cats alone and let them work out whatever this is. Trying to separate them or interferring will increase their anxiety levels and might make things worse or cause other problems like inappropriate litterbox use.
