Some cats are just very vocal. Has he been to the vet for exam, virus testing, shots and is he neutered? Those are the very first things to do before deciding it's just the way he is.
It sounds like it's only been less than 8 days. That's a lot of environment changes to adjust to - outside-shelter-adopted- all in a week! If everything is alright physically he's probably still adjusting to it all. And he's still very young and active so he might be bored too. It hasn't been long at all and none of you are going to adjust overnight, so I'd just be patient.
It's going to take longer for your female cat to adjust to him. Young kitties are usually pretty playful for the older kitty to deal with all alone...so I'd keep giving her plenty of alone time seperate from him for a good while.
:hey everyone...
:well, a male about 6-month-old cat came to my house about 8 days ago, I gave it to animal shelter last monday, they have these rules that if nobody finds it they will put it to sleep in 5 days, and you can adopt it, so I did last saturday.
:I already have a female 3 year old cat at home... they dont even get a long which is really hard since I always have to keep them in separate rooms and use sererate litter boxes, and so on.
:This male cat keeps meowning and meowing wherever he goes, it's so damn annoying since I don't even know what he wants. In the middle of the night he wakes up and starts meowning and wants to get out of the room, and when he goes out he starts meowning again, I don't even know what to do, I can't sleep normally!!!
:What can I do? Why is he meowing all the time?
:Please help me, thanks... if you have any further questions, just ask me and please visit back.
