:Well, now the cat expert needs some help!! My problem child is a 1 1/2 y/o neutered male. He is litter box trained, but won't use it, as he perfers to go outside. All is well and good with that. However, he urinates in the corners of the rooms...I have treated it 3 times, and placed double-sided tape to keep him from coming back. Ok, that worked....but!...when my boyfriend is home he urinates in his duffle bag full of clothes. My ground rules for Sushi is this: 1) he goes out a night(it's safe enough) 2) he comes in first thing in the morning to eat, and if I'm home all day will let him stay in and 3) he must go out when I'm not home. This way, I can watch him. When he is up and about, I keep a close eye on him and if he's not eatting, I throw him outside. Ok, so all is well, but somewhere, when I'm not looking, he will pee somewhere. And the only thing I can think of is when iforget to put him out before I leave or god forbid I should ever sleep! The bottem line is I need to sleep...I am only human and I can't watch him 24/7. So that is my dilemma. No matter how well, I watch him, he's still catching me off guard somewhere. After he peed in my b/f duffel bag, it was cleaned and I put a bowl of catfood there. Incase those who don't know, a cat will never eat in an area where they go potty, so putting a bowl of food there is a good deterant. Anyways, I wacth him conatanly, put him out at night, and put him out before I leave and he still feels like he can pee. I've tried everything I can think of and I'm at my wits end. Can anyone help?

Just to keep everyone updated on Sushi's problem...I took him to the vet today for a UA to rule out a UTI. He doesn't have an infection, but he does have a high urine ph. The vet put him on scinence diet to low his ph and will go back onto the maintenance when he's finished with what he has now. I got him a jumbo industrial size litter box (he's a big cat) and moved Ishi's to his bedroom and have Sushi's in the bathroom. I will re-introduce him to the box whenever he is in. I did show it to him before filling it and he did show interest in it, hopefully when his crystals are gone, and he's healed internally, and he get familiar with the box again, this problem will be resolved. Cross your fingers. I'll keep you updated
