:I have a 6 month old male who is for the most part a normal kitten. But he has the strangest habits, he eats anything he can get his paws on. He chews boxes, newspapers, cords, paintbrushes, shoes, and clothes. He jumps in the dishwasher, the dryer and the cabinets when I open them. He plays in the toilet like a dog, and actually sticks his whole head in there. He gets in the shower with me and runs under the water. He runs through the house like a nut and attacks my legs when I come around a corner and bites me every chance he gets. He stalks me and stares at me while I'm watching t.v. or doing anything for that matter and jumps on my head and bites my face. He is totally crazy and it seems like all day long my kicking him off my legs or yelling get down, get out, get off, and stop that. Help!!!!!! I don't know what to do about him. He is a only cat and I'm thinking of getting another kitten so he'll have someone to play with. Maybe he wouldn't be so lonely, I do work all day. Please give me some advice. Thanks.
Sounds VERY NORMAL to me, I have a kitten like that. Now his chewing is because he must be teething. Only solution: Put away everything (paper, carton, plastic {very toxic to kits}, plants etc) and whatever you cannot put away, put some pepper spray or hot sauce on it so he wont chew it.
As for the 'attacks', climbing on counters and stuff, he is just full of energy. Try to play with him as much as you can with those fishing pole type toys so you are not in direct contact with him and do not encourage biting you.
It would be great if you can get another kitten more or less his age, BUT in case you haven't done so, you need to get both of them FIXED, so you don't have any agression problems.
