I'm going to be moving in 2 months with my cat from Pittsburgh to Southern Florida. I will be making the trip over 2 or possibly three days. The total trip is around 20 hours driving time. My questions are, how long can the cat go without going to the bathroom? I was hoping I could let her out in the hotel at night, but can a cat go 10-12 hours without using the bathroom? Should I just get a big carrier that can fit a small litter box? Can the cat ride in the big carrier in the back of a UHAUL or would the gas fumes kill her? I can't really let her out of the carrier out side of a hotel as she will most likely be impossible to get back in the carrier. I'll be lucky if I can get her out of the hotel when its time to leave. She was abused as a kitten before I got her and still isn't too trusting especially when she is in unfamiliar surroundings. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
