Well, I"m not overwhelmed with her pissing in her cat carrier. Someone mentioned the possibility of having the cat sedated by the vet for a the 2 day trip, has anyone ever done this? The Saf Jacket looks good although I tried a collar on her once and if it wasn't a break away type, she'd be dead now as she tried to take it off almost strangling herself numerous times.
: :If you can get a large carrier into the car, this would be the best arrangement. Put a small litterbox in with her. :I can tell you right now, that she will "go" when she needs to! I transported a cat for a 200 mile trip - stopped and let him out of the carrier and put him in the box midway. No dice... :About 30 minutes later we could smell the cat pee. Luckily we had lined his carrier with a thick towel. He was not happy, but he made it with no lasting harm. :There is a cat safe-t jacket which is advertised on this site. You might want to consider getting on for your cat, although she won't like it. Then you could "grab" her if she doesn't cooperate leaving the motel room. :Good luck!
:Please don't put the cat in a carrier in the back of a U-Haul. This would be very dangerous. She needs to be in the car with you.
