Question about Vaccinations

I have 4 beautiful indoors cats. They only go outside when my husband and I take them out in our yard on a harness/leash. Each year we have them vaccinated for the following: feline panleukopenia, FVR and FCV. Two years ago on the advice from our vet, we opted to discontinue the leukemia vaccination. Each cat only received the leukemia vaccine once. Rabies has not reached the province (island) where I reside so this is not an usual vaccination. I have been hearing a great deal about VAS. What is the risk of VAS for cats vaccinated against panleukopenia, FVR and FCV? As well should the vet inject in the hind region only?

I would appreciate any information.

Thanks....Kristen
