:In the Doctors Foster and Smith cat catalog they show the site for Sub Q vaccinations to be done inbetween a cats shoulderblades. If a cat has a reaction to it and gets VAS at the injection site it becomes inoperable.
:They have now changed the injection sites on their website but the old catalogs still show the shoulderblade as it injection site. All new catalogs will show the new sites.
:Here is the Fosters and Smith website: Just a note - as you might notice Drs. Foster Smith don't see rabies vaccine. This is because the rabies vaccine must be given by a vet and recorded as such to be legal.

It is true that vaccination protocol has changed. The shots are now given in the legs - right side for rabies, left side for leukemia. My vet put the vaccine with the multiple letters (I never can remember what they are) into the cat's front leg.
